Behind Artilo
Founded by David McConnell, Artilo is the natural evolution of a career spent studying beauty in its most detailed form.
As a professional makeup artist, Â and later as the founder of the Academy of Makeup and Gorgeous Cosmetics, Â David developed a refined eye for balance, tone, texture, and light. For decades, his work has centred on shaping visual impact with intention, whether on the human face or within a creative environment.
Artilo extends that same philosophy into the spaces we live in.
Each artwork is approached as a composition rather than a decoration and is designed with restraint, clarity, and emotional quiet. Subtle shifts in colour, contrast, and form are deliberate, inviting the viewer to notice more over time.
